eubus NAM-ULTRA Network Attenuator Module
The NAM-Ultra is an ultra-compact, economical version of the traditional EUBUS-NAM's. Inputs and outputs of the field-proven electronic Eubus attenuators are directly accessible at the rear of the system - the reduced internal RF-interconnect leads to higher reliability, better RF-performance and ease of service. This Eubus-NAM always comes with eight RF-attenuators with either 3 GHz or 6 GHz upper freqency limit. The Ethernet interface allows for microprocessor control of all eight attenuator. Firmware can be easily updated through the RS-232 service port. The entire unit requires 2 HU in 19" racks and is just 125 mm deep.
Processor control permits to runmultiple tests in parallel time-independently. High-precision attenuation is possible in 0,5dB (0,38-3GHz) or 1 dB (0,7-6GHz) increments in the range of milliseconds. All time settings, test lengths and attenuation value settings are adjustable. The attenuation values appear on the device's display and can be queried at any time using the operating software.

The NAM-ULTRA system was designed to simulate the conditions of a radio hop in all current and future radio networks including GSM, DCS, UMTS, WLAN, WiMAX, Bluetooth and UMTS LTE, for example. The system offers eight inputs and outputs, works in the millisecond range, and can be used either in the laboratory or as a mobile unit in field applications.
